alfredo sauce

this is how we like to make alfredo sauce! feel free to use this as a blueprint for your own creations!

ingredients


  • 1 organic yellow onion

  • 1/4 cup organic cashew butter

  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

  • 1-2 cups bone broth

  • 1 tsp garlic powder or fresh garlic

  • pinch of salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


how to make


  1. chop onion & place into pan over medium heat

  2. add 1 cup of bone broth to pan

  3. add garlic, salt & pepper 

  4. let onions simmer until all liquid has evaporated (~10 min). Add more bone broth if needed

  5. transfer onion to small plate & let cool

  6. in a blender, add cashew butter, lemon juice, parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup of remaining bone broth, and onions

  7. blend & add more bone broth if needed 

  8. once creamy consistency is achieved, pour over pasta and mix

  9. yum, enjoy!
