simple melt

this is how we like to make simple melts! feel free to use this as a blueprint for your own creations!

ingredients


melt
  • 1 or 2 slices sourdough bread (1 slice for open faced)

  • 1 can wild caught salmon (drained)

  • 1 tbsp of dijon mustard

  • 1/4 cup of organic greek yogurt

  • 1/4 tsp of chipotle powder

  • 1/4 cup of chopped pickles/pickled onions

  • 1-2 slices raw sharp cheddar cheese


chipotle mayo
  • 1/2 cup of avocado oil based mayo

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1-2 tsp dried chipotle powder

  • 1 tsp dried organic garlic powder

  • 1/2 tbsp honey (optional)

  • Mix!



how to make


  1. in small bowl mix together salmon, dijon, greek yogurt, spices, and chopped pickles

  2. on stovetop, heat pan on medium heat

  3. while pan heats, spread mayo on bottom half of each bread slice

  4. add salmon mix to non-mayo side of bread and top with cheese

  5. place other bread slice on top with mayo facing up

  6. add sandwich to pan, cover, and cook for 3-5 min or desired bread char

  7. flip sandwich, cover, and cook for another 2-3 min or desired bread char

  8. plate and let rest

  9. in a small bow whisk together chipotle mayo ingredients until creamy

  10. dip your tasty melt in our delicious chipotle mayo and eat up!
