sourdough pizza

this is how we like to make sourdough pizza! feel free to use this as a blueprint for your own creations!

ingredients


be sure to read instructions on your pizza dough before you start!!

  • organic pizza sauce
  • organic sprouted spelt flour
  • organic mozzarella cheese
  • organic sourdough pizza dough
    1. lightly flower baking sheet and place ball of dough on top

    2. lightly flower both sides of dough preserving the ball shape

    3. once flowered, press center of dough into small pizza circle shape

    4. lift dough from underneath with both knuckles and shake to expand into desired size then lay back on baking sheet

  • organic caramelized onions
    1. heat sauce pan to medium heat

    2. slice 1 red union into thin strips

    3. lightly oil pan and add sliced onions

    4. add about 1 tsp of syrup to onions

    5. cook for 3-4 minutes or desired char

  • organic portobello mushrooms
    1. heat sauce pan to medium heat

    2. slice 2 portobello mushroom caps into bite size pieces

    3. lightly oil pan and add sliced mushrooms

    4. season to taste with garlic & salt

    5. cook for 3-4 minutes or desired char

  • roasted artichoke hearts
    • chop and peel 2 to 3 artichoke hearts


how to make


  1. preheat oven to 500 degrees

  2. spread red sauce on pizza dough

  3. layer handful of mozzarella onto sauce

  4. top with onions, mushrooms, & artichoke

  5. layer one more handful of mozzarella on top

  6. place in oven for 20-25 minutes

  7. remove, slice, and serve!

  8. pro-tip: we like to use our homemade alfredo sauce (found on our recipes page) to dip our pizza in!
